Application forms

It is important for applicants in the Enforcement Sector to not take job application forms lightly as they are the first step towards landing the one job that hundreds of experienced professionals desire.

Firstly, it is advisable to complete and submit your application on line.  Employers prefer this because it is more cost effective and immediate.

Before you do anything, complete your answers in draft.  Make sure you spell check it first, then leave it and come back to it later. This will enable you to proof read and edit the document with a fresh mind.

Application forms, in the main, ask you to display evidence that you have the competencies for the particular job that you are applying for.

This means that the employer has broken the job down in to its different parts and has constructed questions that test whether or not an applicant appears to be right for the role. When answering this style of question, try to write about examples of your work from previous roles as evidence that you offer specific qualities.

Applications often ask candidates to identify key areas that set them apart from their peers. This is a good opportunity to display your keen interest in modern or recent issues affecting the Enforcement work arena. It is also an opportunity to explain why your previous related experience has developed your interest in fields relating more closely to the vacancy.

It is vital that you do not leave any question unanswered and that you make sure you keep a copy of your application form
.
